Akshaya Renuka
Faculty ( Bengaluru Branch)
Mrs. Akshaya Renuka was born in Udumalaipetai in Coimbatore. She completed her schooling in the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Chennai. She later went on to graduate by securing a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology (B.Sc) from New Prince Shri Bhavani Arts and Science college in Chennai. Akshaya has always been passionate about Bharatanatyam and is quiet fluent in the principles Bharatanatyam holds value to.
Under the tutelage of her Guru, Smt. Arundhati John, Akshaya was able to quickly adpat to the form of Kalakshetra style Bharatnatayam and present them at various classical dance events. In 2019, Akshaya went on to successfully complete her Arangetram at the Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan in Mylapore, Chennai.
Akshaya’s dedication to the art has overcome all restrictions and the outcome is due to the support from her three beautiful daughters, loving husband, her undying passion, self-motivation and dedication towards Bharatanatyam. Akshaya explores her creativity without compromising on the classicism of the dance form. Akshaya’s graceful movements and her subtle yet communicative expressions have won the admiration of students and her Guru. As a teacher, Akshaya devotes her time and energy into developing a new generation of dancers who are dedicated to Bharatanatyam, keeping up the Kalakshetra values taught to her by her Guru. As a revered dance institute, we are very proud to have her as a faculty and we look forward to her positive contribution in the field of Indian classical dance form Bharatanatyam at our branch centre in Bengaluru, India.
